Every year I see to it that my birthday turns out to be one of the special moments of my year. Last year I shared that it is my cake that made my birthday special. How did my birthday turn out this year?
Having my family around me on my day indeed makes it special though this year I shared it with another someone very dear to me, an additional to my extra special persons list. :)
I woke up having my constant bout of headaches and nausea. I slept the morning off and missed going to the grocery with my parents by noon to stay at home and rest. After I finished taking a bath I turned on the TV and settled in the couch watching a film as I slowly dozed off to take a nap. I was awakened by a presence sitting beside me when I found out it was Don having arrived from work watching me sleep. :) He had this sweet smile on his face as he kissed me and lovingly greeted me a soft whisper of "Happy Birthday".
We had dinner at a superb Ihaw-Ihaw place where they serve one of the delicious ihaw-ihaws I have tasted. I was seated next to my dad and I constantly tease him how he forgot to greet me on my special day. A boy Sampaguita vendor approached our table. We shared our food with him. What a blessing God has given me! He gave me one extra guest to share my special night with, I thought. After eating, we went home all feeling light hearted with the love and blessing that was shared in our table.
My Birthday priceless gifts:
1.) A smile from a stranger (the boy Sampaguita vendor)
2.) The presence of the people who mattered and whom I love much.
3.) A new career I have been waiting for so long finally arrived!
4.) My Don and the new family we will soon start, the dreams that we will build.
I can't really ask for anything more. My life has been blessed so much and I am so happy because I know the Lord above truly provides good things to his children. His love and mercy truly endures forever.
Thank you God. I love You and well, I know you know it. ;)
